See real features, real workflows — straight from the app.
No account. No setup. Open the app and start playing.
Load the demo setlist to explore instantly, type lyrics and chords directly, search the Online Song Catalog, import from .md, .txt, and .pdf, or use the new Import PDF Score workflow for multi-page scores.
Create a setlist, drag to reorder, add date and venue. Select multiple songs at once and add them all in one tap — or swipe a song in your library to drop it into one or more setlists. Lock the setlist before showtime so nothing changes mid-gig.
Tap Rehearse to practice with a seekable audio player and full song browser. Hit Play Set — straight from the Setlists list or inside a setlist — for full-screen performance with audio controls, a floating song-picker button, and live chord transposition when you upgrade to Pro.
Real screenshots from the app — no mockups. Tap any tile for a full-size view.
A complete songbook and setlist toolkit — chord charts on stage, remove vocals with on-device stem separation, no subscription.
Full-screen dark display built for the stage. Top and bottom bars appear in sync. Tap anywhere to toggle the bars, and use the floating song-picker button to jump to any song. When the bars are hidden, a floating close button stays in the corner so you can always exit. In a setlist, each song advances to the next automatically when its audio finishes (or a duration-paced auto-scroll reaches the end), so your set rolls on hands-free — and the controls stay up on an automatic advance so you can see what's playing now.
Practice in a full-screen view with a searchable sidebar. Select multiple artist and label filters at once — OR-combined, each dismissible as a chip. Filter state carries over from the Songs view automatically.
Attach a reference recording or backing track to any song. Import from Files, iCloud Drive, or directly from your iPhone Music Library (non-DRM tracks). A seekable progress bar shows elapsed and remaining time — tap or drag to jump to any position.
No backing track? Tap play in the performance bar and the lyrics and chords scroll on their own. Set a song's duration and the whole sheet scrolls over exactly that time — or it paces from the BPM. Adjust the speed live, watch an elapsed / total readout, and pause any time. Ordinary finger-scrolling still works.
Select multiple artists and labels at once — filters are OR-combined. Active filters appear as chips below the search field; dismiss one at a time or reset all. Filter state syncs between Songs and Rehearse.
Copied lyrics in Safari, Notes, or a chat? The Songs tab notices and offers Paste Clipboard as New Song. One tap opens the editor prefilled — title, artist, key, BPM and lyrics detected automatically from the pasted text. Built on the iOS system paste button, so there's no "allow paste?" pop-up — the app never reads your clipboard by itself.
Sort songs by Title (A–Z with a quick index bar), by Recently Modified — new and freshly imported songs surface right at the top under "Today" — or grouped by Artist or Label. Your choice is remembered.
Lock a setlist before you walk on stage. Nothing gets accidentally edited, deleted, or reordered — and each song plays with the exact stem mix you set up for the set (Original, 2 stems, or 4 stems, with your muted parts and levels), not the original track.
Deleted a song by mistake? An Undo banner with a 7-second countdown appears right at the top of your library. One tap brings the song back — exactly where it was, and back in every setlist it was part of. Nothing is really gone until the countdown ends. Delete however suits you — swipe a row, long-press for Delete, or tap Delete Song at the bottom of the editor (which drops you straight back to your library).
Swipe or long-press any song in your library and choose Add to Setlist. Drop it into one setlist or several at once — tap to add, tap again to remove, with a checkmark showing where it already lives. Spin up a new setlist right from the picker, and locked setlists stay protected. The same long-press menu also offers Rehearse, Edit, and Delete shortcuts.
Tap any song in your library to open a read-only song view: key, BPM and duration at a glance, labels, an inline audio preview, swipeable score pages, and a stage-styled lyrics & chords preview, plus when (and on which device) the song was last edited — and, at the end, every setlist the song appears in. Edit and Rehearse are one deliberate tap away, so nothing changes by accident while you browse. Inside a setlist, tapping a song instead starts the set right from that song.
Long-press a setlist for quick actions: Edit its details, Save As… to duplicate it as the starting point for a similar gig, or Lock / Unlock it — all without opening it.
Split a setlist into labeled sections — Set 1, Break, Encore — each with its own song count and length. Add a divider from Add Section or by swiping a song, then drag songs and dividers freely, even across sections. See the total length of every set at a glance, and during a performance a subtle clock shows the current section, time elapsed and remaining, and whether you're running over or ahead of plan.
Interactive chord charts for guitar and piano — every chord in the song, rendered on-device with no internet. Tap any chord for guitar voicings spread across the neck or piano inversions, switch instruments with one tap, and the app remembers your choice per song and per setlist.
Sync lyrics to your audio track so the current line highlights and scrolls automatically during playback. Auto Sync uses Shazam to identify the song and fetch timed lyrics from the web in seconds. Manual Tap Sync lets you set each line's timestamp by tapping along as the audio plays — perfect for originals and live recordings.
Spot a wrong chord mid-show? Edit lyrics and notes directly from Performance mode or Rehearse mode — no need to leave the view. Only available when the setlist is unlocked.
Share any Apple Notes note directly to Gig Songbook via the iOS Share Sheet. It arrives parsed and ready in your library.
New to the app? Load a ready-made demo setlist in one tap to explore every feature right away. Missed the first-launch prompt? Find it in Settings any time your library is empty.
No account. No sign-in. Your library works fully offline; when you are signed into iCloud, songs and setlists can sync across your devices in your private container — never on our servers. Syncing stays out of your way: it runs in the background, so the app stays responsive at launch and on stage instead of freezing while iCloud catches up. Sync is version-safe across updates: newer releases keep reading your existing library, and an older device never overwrites data saved by a newer one.
Attach any visual reference to a song — a full score, individual instrument parts, a chord chart, or a lyric sheet. Import from Photos or Files, drag to reorder. In Performance and Rehearse mode images replace the text view with swipeable full-screen pages, and whether a song shows images or text lyrics is remembered per song and per setlist.
Transpose any song up or down in real time from the performance screen. Your transposition is remembered per song — and per song within a setlist, which takes priority — and shown as a badge in your library and setlists. Chords update — lyrics never change.
Search by title or artist, pick multiple results — each showing album and duration to tell versions apart — and import them all at once, lyrics included.
Select one or more audio files (MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC and more) and let the app read the embedded metadata — title, artist and lyrics are filled in automatically. When a file carries karaoke-style timed lyrics, those become synced lyrics for the lyrics-follow feature instead of cluttering the plain text. Hit Resolve via Shazam to identify unrecognised tracks; a live progress bar shows exactly how many have been processed, and you can cancel at any point without losing results already resolved. Review every track, then confirm with a single tap.
Improved review workflow: import multiple files, edit title/artist/labels before saving, preview parsed lyrics, and handle duplicates with Overwrite or Skip Existing.
Import one or more PDF scores as swipeable song pages. Review each score, edit title/author/labels, preview rendered pages, then import with duplicate overwrite/skip handling.
Export your full song library or individual setlists as JSON. Exporting songs shows a live progress bar as each track is packaged; when done a full Files browser opens so you can save directly to iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, or any connected location. Exports include referenced audio files, stems, and song images for fully portable backups.
Remove vocals and practice with a backing track using on-device stem separation — free for 27 days from first install, no purchase required. Split into 2 stems (Vocals + Instrumental) or 4 stems (Drums, Bass, Other, Vocals), mute the vocal stem in the mixer, and switch Original vs Stems during rehearsal or performance. The AI model (~54 MB on iPhone, ~75 MB on iPad) runs entirely on your device — your audio is never uploaded. Realtime stem playback on iPhone 14 Pro and newer and iPad M1+; older devices export stems once for instant playback. Your stem mix is saved per setlist, so a locked set plays each song exactly as you mixed it. After 27 days, upgrade to Pro to keep generating stems.
Drill the hard parts. Slow a song down (or speed it up) without changing its pitch, shift the pitch up or down in semitones to match your voice or instrument, and set an A-B loop right on the seek bar — drag the A and B handles to repeat a tricky passage on a loop. There's a master volume slider for the original track too. Tempo and pitch are remembered per song, and per song within a setlist, so your rehearsal setup is always there. Part of the same 27-day free trial as stem separation; Pro after that.
